VANCOUVER – Maura and I thank everyone most sincerely from the bottom of our hearts to all who participated in our seventh annual fund raising golf tournament. Miraculously, the rain held off, the sun came out, and it was a fabulous day of golf, music and ‘craic.’

It’s always a fun day at our golf tournaments but this year, Mark Downey and Mary Brunner of the musical duo Roolya Boolya really helped to make the day with their superb entertainment at the barbeque after the tournament

.

This year, we also welcomed more non-golfers from the community who came out to Mylora Golf Course to enjoy the barbeque and entertainment.

Very special thanks to George McDonnell who calculated the scores and helped to keep everyone honest! Also, many thanks to Colleen Carpenter and Teresa Croke, who helped out in so many ways on the day of the tournament.

Watch The Celtic Connection for the time, date and location of our 2011 golf tournament.
