Chieftains appoint new Executive Committee for 2010

CALGARY – On February 10 the Chieftains held their AGM to vote in the 2010 Executive Committee. A well attended meeting saw the appointment of a very enthusiastic board to look after the interests of the GAA in Calgary.
The 2010 executive is: Barry Sinclair, chairman; Joe Whelan, vice-chairman; Eamon O’Keeffe, secretary; David Gallagher, treasurer; Niki Mitchell, registrar; Ciara Lanigan, ladies’ players representative; Mick O’Donnell, men’s players representative; Liam Mailey, member-at-large; Michael Ryan, member-at-large; Anna Doyle, member-at-large; Shane D’Arcy, member-at-large.
The board is focused on growing the membership of the club and increasing the club’s profile in the Calgary community.
The Chieftains are currently searching for a manager for the men’s team, recruiting players and social members of all kinds.
