SEATTLE - The Seattle Gaels, fresh off a successful recruitment drive and annual St. Patrick's Day activities, are looking forward to another exciting season.
Following an appearance in the St. Patrick's Day parade, the Gaels celebrated Ireland's patron saint and raised some money for the club as they held their first annual St. Paddy's Bash fundraiser.
The Bash was a huge success and we would like to thank all who came out and supported the club.
On March 22, the club held its annual Open Field Day with a huge turnout of recruits and spectators for both the hurling and Gaelic football teams.
Official training for both sports starts on April 7 at Magnolia Playfield, and anyone interested in either sport is invited to contact the club managers (hurling@seattlegaels.com or ladiesfootball@seattlegaels.com), or check the website at seattlegaels.com.
Upcoming games include the Hurling City League opener on April 19 at Magnolia Playfield or Portland as the team fights the Columbia Red Branch the previous day. As always, matches are free to attend. Check our website at www.seattlegaels.com for more information and updates to the season schedule.
