Derry Donegal Diaspora Project Launched in London
DONEGAL - No morning traffic-jams, fresh job opportunities, and an all-round better quality of life are attracting the North West's emigrants to return to the homeland.
That's according to the co-coordinator of the Derry Donegal Diaspora project which saw its British launch in London on November 30.
The event was attended by key players in the public and private sector, education, government and other agencies. It also provided networking opportunities for those living abroad originally from the region who have business and enterprise interests.
The London event followed a very successful Dublin launch.
The Derry Donegal Diaspora project co-coordinator is Aéidin [Aideen] McCarter. She said that many people, who left Donegal during its less prosperous times, are now returning in significant numbers.
