Next Irish Senior Luncheon will be held on May 24
VANCOUVER – In last month’s issue, we announced upcoming dates for the 2012 series of Irish seniors’ luncheons hosted by the Irish Benevolent Society of B.C.
One important change to note is that there will now be a minimum charge of $10 per person in order to cover all costs.
Also, there was an error in the dates, so please make note of the correct dates. Each luncheon will be held on a Thursday afternoon as follows: May 24, September 20, and December 20.
The luncheons are made possible through a grant by the Irish Emigrant Programme through the Department of Foreign Affairs with the Government of Ireland.
They will be held at the Holiday Inn Express located at 2889 Hastings Street in Vancouver (near Renfrew Street). All Irish seniors and their spouse or significant other are welcome.
Guests must register and submit a non-refundable payment by cheque at least two weeks prior. No payments will be accepted at the door. For the spring luncheon, payment must be received by May 10.
