BC Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums
Heading to Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day
By CATHOLINE BUTLER
VANCOUVER – The B.C. Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums are going to Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day events on the Emerald Isle.
The main thrust of the Irish Pipe Band’s annual fundraiser in 2010, will be to raise additional funds to help finance their trip to Ireland.
Sergeant Pat Connell said, “the trip is proving to be very expensive, however it’s full speed ahead and we are hoping that we can count on the community to attend our annual whisky tasting fundraiser.
“It’s always a fun event and a great opportunity to help us raise much needed funds for the band.”
The B.C. Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums have always been most generous with their time in playing at and helping to raise funds for many other fundraising events in the community.
Now, they are asking the community for help with their fundraiser – so, let’s not let them down!
The B.C. Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums’ annual whisky tasting night will be held at 7 PM on January 30 at the Beatty Street Drill Hall located at 620 Beatty Street in Vancouver.
