Another Ghost Sighting at Speke Hall?

SPEKE HALL is located in Speke, England and it has the reputation of being haunted.

THE BUBBLES or circles floating around in the room were invisible to the naked eye but when magnified, they appear to contain faces.

Speke Hall is a very old mansion located in Speke England, just outside of Liverpool, and it has a reputation for being one of the most haunted houses in England.

The house is now owned by the National Trust and is open to the public. It is one of the most famous Tudor houses in Britain on the banks of the River Mersey. Its present form dates from the period 1490-1612, but there was an earlier house on or near the site of the present building.

A very large and beautiful house, Speke Hall has many stories associated with it over the decades. There is a famous legend about the “screaming woman.” Apparently many people have heard a woman screaming in one of the bedrooms.

The rumour is that it is the ghost of one of the residents that threw her baby out the window and then took her own life.

On my visit to Liverpool last month, I took the opportunity to take my son to Speke Hall as I had fond memories of visiting there with my grandfather when I was about his age.

Upon arrival, we were very impressed with the house and how perfectly preserved it has been over the years.

One of the first rooms we entered was the dining room. It was a beautiful room with many ornate paintings on the walls and a grandfather clock in the corner. The dining room table was set perfectly, complete with place settings and candles.

The room gave me an eerie feeling from the moment I stepped in, as though we had gone back in time.

As tourists do, I pulled out my camera and took a picture. An employee then rushed over and stopped me by telling me that no photographs were allowed in Speke Hall.

Begrudgingly, I put my camera away and went on with the tour. I had no idea what I was about to discover.

Later that evening, I was showing my family the pictures that I had taken that day when I discovered something very strange about the photo I had taken inside.

There were many bubbles or circles floating around in the room. At first I thought something was wrong with my camera or that the photo did not turn out.

As I was showing this to my cousin's wife, she gasped and said, “Oh my goodness, those are orbs!” I had never heard of orbs before.

She explained it to me "Sometimes when someone takes a picture the camera can pick up what the naked eye cannot see. Those are ghosts!"

Then we downloaded the photo on to the computer so we could get a better look. We then zoomed in on one of the orbs to get a close up of it.

I would not have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. The face of a man staring right back at me! You could make out his beard and hair as well as his facial features. I had chills down my spine.

Next we zoomed in on some of the smaller and less bright orbs and we were able to make out faces in them as well. Looking at the picture, the thing that strikes me most is the sheer number of the orbs in the room, some brighter, some smaller.

It makes me wonder why some are larger, brighter and clearer than others – was it that they have been around the longest, or that they have a stronger aura?

Some people believe in ghosts, while others do not. Just as some people believe in life after death, and some do not. I have had some ghostly experiences in the past, which reinforces my belief in these entities.

Personally, I believe that the spirit is a separate entity from the body like an energy or a life force and that once the body expires, the spirit or soul goes on to another level. Perhaps these beings are wandering in homes trying to find their way to where it is they need to be, just as we all are!
