The Proclaims Back on Tour to Promote Latest Album
VANCOUVER - The Proclaimers return to Canada April/May to promote their latest and seventh studio album Life With You.
They will perform at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on May 10 along with special guest Jeremy Fisher. Tickets are now on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets.
The September 2007 release of their new album in the UK saw fantastic critical acclaim and great commercial success with album sales beyond silver and their biggest ever 44 date UK tour playing to over 100,000 fans.
Earlier in 2007 they topped the UK singles chart in March with a rousing new rendition of their classic anthem I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), a collaboration with comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas for this year's UK Comic Relief, raising over a million pounds in the process.
EMI re-launched their 2002 Best Of collection, re-entering the album charts at Number Five, and now turned platinum.
Then Craig, Charlie and band headed to the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales with producer Steve Evans to record the new album.
Since The Proclaimers debuted their first album in 1987 they continue to thrive with successful albums and musical projects as well have enjoyed Gold and Platinum singles and albums in UK Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada.
