2007 Juno Nomination
EDMONTON - The McDades - Danielle, Shannon, Solon, Jeremiah, Andy and Francois - have enjoyed an exciting year. Their CD Bloom has been nominated for a 2007 Juno Award for Roots and Traditional Album of The Year (Group). The Junos take place this year in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on April 1.
In December, they won Best World Artist (Group) and Best Instrumental Artist (Group) at the Canadian Folk Awards . Their CD Bloom also won the Best World Album (Traditional) for the 2007 Independent Music Awards in the United States. The Independent Music Awards are an international competition and include such judges as Peter Gabriel, McCoy Tyner, Suzanne Vega, David Grisman and more.
