SEATTLE – On July 4, John Keane received the Spirit of Liberty Award from U.S. Congressman McDermott at the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center.
The award is produced by the Ethnic Heritage Council, Seattle Center and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Each year there is the swearing in of new citizens at the Center on July 4 with a big ceremony for about 600 new citizens.
The Ethnic Heritage Council annually recognizes a naturalized citizen who has made an outstanding contribution to the U.S. while preserving his/her ethnic heritage. Congratulations John, much deserved!
