Scholarship Award presented
to Kate Clark for outstanding achievement

Congratulations to Kate Clark who was presented with a scholarship award on May 10. Kate is a long standing member of the Irish community in Vancouver and has actively volunteered her support at many functions, both social and otherwise.
Last year, she decided to focus her energies on the pursuit of her masters in nursing. Her husband Keith said, “Working full time, studying full time, and squeezing the odd 32K run in makes me sometimes wonder if she’s not three people.”
He said, “When asked by our friends how she manages all these feats at once, I often reference this example as an explanation: Kate’s the type of person who enters the kitchen after dinner to rinse the dishes and three hours later has built and installed us new kitchen cabinets!”
Her hard work and dedication has been paying off. Recently she received her first A+ on a paper focused on “Leadership.” Kate would like to complete her masters in the next two years. We are all very proud of her and wish her the best of luck.
