A St. Patrick’s Day ‘An tAifreann i nGaelige’– Irish Mass was celebrated by Rev. Anthony Boniface of Newton Forbes, Longford Town at St. Pius X Church in North Van with over 60 in attendance.
Traditional music was beautifully arranged by Ita Kane-Wilson and a collection for the Irish Benevolent Society of BC and St. Pius X charities netted $205 for both respective organizations.
Brendan Flynn and Al McCabe of the Ireland Monument-Canada arranged for a granite stone display from the Ancient Order of Hibernian's Celtic Cross (1909-Grosse Ile, Quebec) to be available at the delightful social that followed.
