ABOUT THE ARTIST

NOVEMBER WIND fans the flames of original destiny: The leaves are brown, the wind is cold, the green of the year has blown away. It is November, the season of Samhain.

DEIRDRE KEOHANE

DEIRDRE Keohane was born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan of Irish-born parents.

She studied art at Crawford College of Art in Cork, Ireland and graduated from David Thompson College of Art in Nelson, B.C.

In 2006 she graduated with an honours Higher Diploma in Art Education from Limerick College of Art.

She has exhibited in Vancouver, Montreal and Ireland. Her works have been published in many magazines, newspapers and for book covers.

She worked for many years as an illustrator for McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.

Deirdre is also known for her giant murals from Donegal to Minsk. She now works in oils on canvas from her studio in Clonakilty, Co. Cork.

We think she has finally settled down in West Cork with her two children and her dog.
