Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra Fundraiser

The Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra and St. Catherine's Anglican Church will host a joint fundraiser on November 14 and everyone is invited.
There will be an evening of Scottish music and dance performed by the Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra, Scottish Dance Demonstration Team, and the Inverary Step Dancers. There will also be Ceilidh dancing and more.
Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra members are volunteer musicians who have a dedicated interest in playing live music for Scottish Country dances and concerts, while improving musicianship and having fun.
The orchestra features its fiddles but a variety of instruments are involved, among them piano, cello, bass and accordion. The orchestra is a non-profit organization.
Under current musical leader Janet Wright, the Vancouver Fiddle Orchestra combines traditional and contemporary approaches to Scottish music. For more information about the orchestra, see: www.vancouverfiddleorchestra.ca.
The November 14 fundraiser will be held at St. Catherine's Anglican Church in Edgemont Village, located at 1058 Ridgewood Drive (in Gower Hall) in North Vancouver. Doors open at 7 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
