New Pipers and Drummers Welcomed at Irish Pipes and Drums

VANCOUVER - The British Columbia Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums is Canada's only army attached Irish Pipe Band and one of only four in the world.
The Irish Pipes and Drums perform at various events throughout the year, including CelticFest, parades, weddings, funerals and pub nights. Their repertoire consists of Irish tunes and perennial favourites.
On October 3, the Irish Pipes and Drums will pipe His Excellency Declan Kelly, Irish Ambassador to Canada into the Arbutus Club where a special gala evening reception will be held. He will meet members of the Irish community from British Columbia, Alberta and Seattle, Washington during his visit here.
The band is also excited about upcoming plans to travel to the UK in 2010.
