In Memory of Margaret Ellen Davies

VANCOUVER - Members of the Vancouver Welsh community were saddened by the death on March 11 of Margaret Ellen Davies at the age of 99. Margaret was born in Llanfair Clydogau, West Wales, where she spent most of her life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack in 2000, following which she came to Canada to spend her last years with her three children. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Maureen (Dave), daughter Heather and her son Winston (JoAnne). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, John (Esther), Adrian (Helen), Megan, and five great-grandchildren, Jack, Duncan, Gabriel, Maggie and Lliam.
On March 19 a bilingual celebration of Margaret's long life was held at Christ Church Cathedral, Georgia and Burrard. Margaret was a faithful member of Christ Church and was active in many of its social programmes. The family are deeply indebted to the staff of the fourth floor of Purdy Pavilion, UBC, for their tender and loving care of their beloved mother.
