In Memory of Ann Kelly
Ann Kelly - wife of former Toronto St. Vincent's and long time Ottawa Gael Pat Kelly - passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 15.
Ann Kelly (nee Dermody), age 60, was born Tourmakeady, County Mayo, Ireland. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. Devoted wife of Pat. Cherished mother of Veronica Quinn (Frank) and Padraig Kelly (Genevieve). Grandmother of Patrick, Mairtin, Frankie, Sara-Ann and Jarlath. Daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Dermody. Sister of Maureen, Peggy, Katie, John, Frank, Christy, Kevin, Tommy, Bernie and the late Mickie.
Ann was extremely active in her church and community including the CWL, the Irish Society of Ottawa and volunteering at the Shepherds of Good Hope. Thanks to Club 2000 where she discovered her talent for painting, and the Irish Society Drop-in Centre.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all those who provided care and companionship to Ann throughout these past few years: Andre, Ellyn, Pascal, Jenny, Lara, Brian, Norine, Renee, Breda, Rosemary, Deirdre and Laurie.
The Canadian County Board of the GAA and all the GAA clubs and members of the Toronto Divisional and Western Canada Divisional Boards would like to extend to long time Ottawa Gael and former Toronto St. Vincent's member, Pat Kelly, our heartfelt sorrow at the loss of his dear wife.
In lieu of flowers in Memoriam donations to the Irish Canadian Cultural Centre in Ottawa would be appreciated.
