Ninth Annual Anniversary Lunch
and Irish Woman of the Year Award
VANCOUVER - On April 29 at 12 noon sharp, the Irish Women's Network will host its ninth annual anniversary lunch at Country Meadows Golf Course in Richmond where the Irish Women of the Year will be awarded. For reservations, contact Deirdre O'Ruairc or Geraldine Megannety. Reservations are limited, so everyone is encouraged to book early.
The Irish Women's Network would also like to extend a big thank you to all the women who came out to march in the fourth annual St. Patrick's Day parade, it was a big success and the sun came out at 12 noon sharp and a great day was had by all.
Special thanks to Steve McVittie and all the committee members who for all their hard work and effort which made CelticFest a huge success.
Upcoming events for the Irish Women's Network include the European Festival on May 29, the annual golf tournament at Mylora Golf Course on June 10 and the 2008 Calendar fund raiser for the Celtic Society of Canada and Our Lady's Hospice, in Kalingalinga, Lusaka, Zambia.
The hospice in Zambia was recommended by Mary Robinson, and it is being supported in honour of her visit with the Irish Women's Network in 2006.
