PRINGE GEORGE - Two bands, Clann Cara and Out of Alba, hosted a St. Patrick's ceilidh on March 17 at the Ramada Ballroom and the event was a complete sell out.
The night was great with a real sense of fun. Great craic was had by all. Celebrations like this are rare in the sense of seeing such a range of ages all celebrating together.
Several tribute songs were sung: Out Of Alba doing a great version of Four Green Fields and Clann Cara singing The Dublin Minstral Boy. Nuala Power taught traditional Irish set dancing with The Walls of Limerick and the Siege of Ennis. Everyone loved the instruction and all night they enjoyed dancing in sets.
The Celtic Club President made mention of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the PG Celtic Club which everyone is looking forward to celebrating on October 20, 2007.
