Thank You from the Boggan Family

VANCOUVER – On behalf of the Boggan family we would like to express our thanks for making Clare's fundraiser held at the Cambrian Hall on February 5 such a huge success. We want to thank everyone so much who helped.
Thank you to Jimmy Cole for organizing all the musicians – Copper Sky and the Rogues n’ Tinkers. There were also many guest musicians and singers that made the entertainment great.
Special thanks to George McDonnell our master of ceremonies; and to Catherine and Trevor from Wheelhouse Fish and Meats and their supplier for donating all of the food and serving it on the night.
My nephew Isaac Kinakin and his wife Brook helped hugely in presenting our silent auction in such a professional manner.
The volunteers who helped during the evening, hall decorators , door people, ticket sellers, bar staff, silent auction volunteers, and our gracious 50/50 seller Karen who brought in a whopping $660, and many who worked behind the scenes.
Neville Thomas and his wife Cathy and the Welsh Society were an enormous help. We would also like to extend our thanks to the many people who donated such great items for our silent auction and to those who bid on the items.
The auction alone brought in $5,500.Thanks to The Celtic Connection for placing Clare’s article in the December issue of the paper.
There have also been many donors and fundraisers worldwide for Clare’s healing journey including: St. Augustine's pub on Commercial Drive in Vancouver; Spain; Edinburgh; Wexford; Enniscorthy; Liverpool, etc.
Clare and I will be leaving on February 19 for her ongoing treatment this time in Mexico. She will keep her blog updated so you can follow along on her progress. It can be found online at: missboggansblog.blogspot.com.
