Volunteer Seeks Support
to Help South Africa
Dear Editor:
I am seeking assistance in my fundraising efforts to help a team of builders who are going to Cape Town, South Africa, to build houses for people in need. They will be working with the Niall Mellon Township Trust, a charity based in Ireland. As far as I know, I am the only person from Canada involved in this building blitz.
This year 1,250 Irish men and women will join in the biggest ever Township Challenge. It will be the largest ever exodus of Irish people to a charity event overseas and will be the fifth Township Challenge the Niall Mellon Township Trust has organized. This year's Building Blitz will take place in the first week of November.
As a volunteer I have to raise at least $8,000. All donations are greatly appreciated, and every cent give goes straight to the charity. Administration costs will not be taken from donations made.
You can check out the charity, The Niall Mellon Township Trust, at: www.irishtownship.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Annette Savage
