EDMONTON - The Denis Walsh Cup - generously donated by Mike Quirke, a dear friend of Denis Walsh and his family - was played for the first time this year.
The Cup was competed for over three weekends this summer, one tournament each in Red Deer, Edmonton and Calgary.
The final was played in Edmonton on September 28 and the Calgary Chieftains were victorious on a scoreline of 3-13 to 2-8.
The trophy was presented to Calgary captain Barry Sinclair by Brendan and Carmel Walsh and the Walsh family.
