IRISH WOMEN'S NETWORK Mark Your Calendars for Fifth Annual Anniversary Lunch
By DEIRDRE O'RUAIRC
VANCOUVER - The Irish Women's Network took part in the fifth annual St. Patrick's Day parade on March 16. We walked proudly up Granville Street carrying our banner and wearing green, white, and orange boas and green shamrock sunglasses. We followed a convertible decorated with green balloons, waving to everyone along the way.
Great fun was had by all as the children with us handed out gold chocolate coins along the parade route. We were all proud to be a part of the St. Patrick's Day Parade and afterwards we gathered for a drink to celebrate the occasion.
The next event on the IWN calendar is our fifth annual anniversary luncheon and the presentation of the Irish Woman of the Year Award on April 27 at the Delta Town and Country Inn (located at 6005 Highway 17 in Delta) at 12 noon.
Reservations are needed as space is very limited. For tickets, call Deirdre O'Ruairc at (604) 538-6765 or (604) 803-0773.
