RCMP Pipeband Fundraiser

VANCOUVER - The Moray, Nairn and Banff Association is hosting the newly formed RCMP Community Pipe Band in a fundraiser at the Scottish Cultural Centre on March 24 at 7:30 PM. The band was formed to bring the police and the community closer together and they are accomplishing what they set out to do.

The band is comprised of RCMP serving and retired police officers and members of the community who have performed very well in their public and ceremonial events. They wear the distinctive RCMP red serge tunic and the RCMP tartan, bringing a Canadian icon and Celtic culture together in an excellent performance based pipe band.

Everyone is invited to join them in a fun evening of Celtic entertainment including the pipe band, the Stewart School of Irish Dance, solo piper Kim Smith-Jones and dance to the music of the Rogues n' Tinkers band.

Cost is $20 per person and tickets can be purchased through the pipe band by calling (604) 948-0819 or the Moray, Nairn and Banff Association at (604) 261-2881.
