They had a full house with plenty of food, prizes and, of course, some vintage scotch to taste. There were also lots of pipers present, both from the Irish Pipes and Drums and members of the world famous Simon Fraser Pipe Band and Robert Malcolm Pipe Band. Everyone was having a most enjoyable night.
I dropped in just in time to catch Pat Connell of the Irish Pipes and Drums announcing a special presentation to Pipe Major Terry Lee and members of the Simon Fraser Pipe Band. The presentation was to thank them for all their assistance and training over the years to the Irish Pipes and Drums.
Pat Connell has done a lot himself to help raise much needed funds and to promote the Irish Pipes and Drums whenever possible. One of the members of the Irish Pipes and Drums was telling me about all the work Pat does and said, "every band should have a Pat Connell."
