The Vancouver Harps was the host team this year for the Canada Day weekend tournament and they invited all the men and women's Gaelic football teams from Seattle, Calgary and Edmonton for a social evening at the Limerick Junction.
Limerick-born proprietor, John Coughlan, was on hand to greet the players, and make sure everything ran smoothly. As expected with most Irish functions, the boys and girls arrived late and stayed until the early morning hours, but from all reports a good time was had by all.
Limerick Junction shows all the GAA games from the previous Sunday every Monday evening at 5:30 PM. Every Friday and Saturday night, classic rock and Irish music is featured.
Limerick Junction Irish Pub is located at 315 Carrall Street, Vancouver (Gastown area). For more information, call (604) 681-7580, or visit: www.limerickjunction.ca.
