Support Team Ireland and Help Win $30,000 for our Community Benevolent Fund
VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Whitecaps FC has brought together 16 nations of varying ethnicity throughout the Lower Mainland to do battle at Whitecaps home games and help their specific charities in the process.
The 2006 Whitecaps Penalty Kick World Cup, held at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, will consist of 16 local ethnic teams competing for $30,000 in prize money for their local community cause. Each team will have five shooters and one goal keeper.
Everyone is urged to support Team Ireland and help win $30,000 for the Celtic Society of Canada – a benevolent fund to assist families and individuals in crisis in our community. Bring your flags and be sure to wear Team Ireland colours as bonus points will be awarded for best team supporters.
Team Ireland dates are as follows:
June 9 (Whitecaps Men vs. Miami) at 7 PM
Team Ireland vs. Team Italy in PK event
August 13 (Whitecaps vs. Virginia Beach) at 7 PM
Team Ireland vs. Team England in PK event
