VANCOUVER - The Tartantown shop in Coquitlam, is a little oasis of Scotland. This bustling and attractively merchandised store carries everything from kilts, bagpipes, Celtic jewellery to Scottish thistle design china tea sets. You can also rent or buy kilts or bolts of tartan to make kilts, skirts, sashes, tams... you name it! Tartantown is one-stop shopping for all your Scottish needs.

Heather Jolly and Terry Lee are the owners of Tartantown, and both are also very involved in the community and Scottish culture.
Heather Jolly is practically an institution in Highland dance circles. She has been teaching for the past 40 years and continues to teach weekly classes at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam.
Terry Lee is the Pipe Sergeant of the world famous Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, who are four-time winners of the World Championship of Piping in Scotland. They were also 10 time runner-ups. We're hoping for win Number Five this upcoming year.
The Heather Jolly Highland Dancers often travel with the Simon Fraser Pipe Band and have performed concerts all over the world. Heather choreographs all the dance routines for the concerts.
Not only can you rent or buy kilts and jackets for weddings, Hogmanay, (New Year's Eve), Robbie Burns, or any other special events where kilts are a requirement, but you could also buy the bagpipes.
There are also some great gift ideas at Tartantown for the Scot or Celt on your Christmas shopping list. For the dancers there are Highland dance supplies. For the pipe band enthusiast, there are drums and pipe band supplies. There is also music and CDs available, along with Scottish ties, t- shirts, Clan badges and giftware, right down to the wee baby's first kilt.
