Fifth Annual Danny Burns Feed the Hungry Benefit Planned for December 10

VANCOUVER

Mark your calendars now for the Celtic FUNdraiser event of the season. A night of merriment and cheer to share with family and friends in support of the Union Gospel Mission, an organization that brings hope and help to many of our city's less fortunate.

The fifth annual Danny Burns Memorial "Feed the Hungry Benefit" is happening on December 10 at the Wolf & Hound in Vancouver and, in Danny's honour, a great night of entertainment is in the works.

Route 66, featuring Danny's sister Anne on vocals, will get things swinging. Following that will be the Celtic musicians' office party - a lineup of fine local Celtic entertainment all in one venue and everyone's invited!

Acts appearing this year will include: The Rogues 'n Tinkers (previously known as The Ballad Band); the BC Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums; Blackthorn; Mutiny Gone Overboard; Three Row Barley; Brian Flanagan; Ballyhooley; and so much more! There are always surprises and lots of door prizes.

Get there early to get a good seat and help make this another successful year in memory of a good friend! The goal is to meet or beat what was achieved last year: over $3,800 and a trunk load of food donations for the Union Gospel Mission.

Admission is $10 with all proceeds going to the Union Gospel Mission. Tax receipts can be issued upon request for any donations over $15. They will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items.

For more information, call Michael Viens (604) 879-7958. For reservations, call Wolf and Hound at (604) 738-8909 (recommended for large groups).
