Two Great Scottish Entertainers Coming Back to Vancouver

VANCOUVER - Two exceptional performers will appear at the Scottish Cultural Centre on April 29 at 8 PM. Paul Anderson and George Donald delight their audiences with brilliant music and humour.

PAUL ANDERSON and George Donald combine brilliant music with humour for a great show.

Paul Anderson is Scotland's champion fiddler, composer and teacher. Paul was born in Torphins and moved to TarIand when he was a wee lad where his father runs a dairy farm.

He started playing fiddle at age five – later taking music lessons from Andy Linklater, a fiddle teacher at the local school, and has since travelled throughout Britain, Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Recently Paul was awarded an Arts and Humanities Research Council Fellowship by the Elphinstone Institute of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland to carry out a three year research project into the future of traditional Scottish music.

George Donald MBE was music director of the highly successful revue “Scotland The What,” which played for 25 years.

George has also graced many concert platforms as a soloist and accompanist throughout Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Canada, and the United States. He was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

George was born in Huntly, Aberdeenshire in the heart of the Doric speaking world. He now makes his home in Perthshire.
