The Watt School has seen so many of its dancers go on to do amazingly well in the competitive world of Irish dance over the years. From winning the North American Championships on many occasions, to placements as high as second in the Worlds.
Five former Watt dancers have also had the pleasure of dancing and touring with Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance for many years. These include Emmett McCormack, Ciara Watt and Carmen Timmins, with Amanda O’Toole and Aisling Watt performing the lead role with the show.
Although some of the older dancers have now moved on to other endeavours, the school now sees the growth of budding young champions hoping to follow in their footsteps.
The Watt School is under the instruction of Jo Watt, T.C.R.G., qualified with the Irish Dance Commisiun in Dublin, Ireland, along with the Western Canada and North American Irish Dance Teachers Association.
