Silver Cup Donated to De Danaan School

VANCOUVER - The St. Columcille Perpetual Trophy was donated to the first De Danaan feis by Adrienne Sutherland who presented the award to Shane Byrne of the Stewart School of Irish Dancing for the Open Championship Dance Off.

The gorgeous silver cup was last won by Adrienne's mother, Bunty Phibbs of Dublin, in 1935. Bunty Phibbs is now 86 years old and still teaches Irish dancing in Dublin six days a week! Some of the families in her school have three generations of students all dancing in her school at the same time!
