WELLS, BC - From August 9 to 13, the Cariboo town of Wells, B.C. will become a harper’s paradise as students of all levels come to learn from three of the world’s best Celtic Harp instructors. Through Island Mountain Arts’ Annual International Celtic Harp School, Lori Pappajohn, Sharlene Wallace and Robin Huw Bowen offer four days of intensive study and play, culminating in a community ceilidh dinner-dance in nearby historic Gold-rush era Barkerville.
The unique community of Wells is nestled in a picturesque setting of mountains and lakes, providing the perfect environment for a learning holiday. This little 1930s mining town becomes the artistic gateway to B.C.’s north every year during the Summer School of the Arts, the International Celtic Harp School and the ArtsWELLS Festival.
