From the eye catching book jacket of green and gold with Celtic design, Celtic Inspirations, can be judged by it's cover. It is a beautiful little book of Celtic treasures that takes us into the shrouded and mysterious world of the Celts.
Each coloured page of Celtic Inspirations is a work of art in Celtic design, covering the ancient and mystical world of the Druids. Spells and incantations, special powers, shapeshifting, time travel, healing herbs, bridges between worlds, jewellery, fertility rites, Celtic warriors, Celtic Queens, the Grail, magic, spirituality and the otherworld are all covered in a short and concise manner.
The Celts were fascinated with the otherworld and believed that a thin veil exists between the two worlds. They also believed that there was somehow a bridge between the real world into the otherworld. Tarr Steps in Devon is believed to be the oldest bridge in Britain. It is also said to be a way to cross from the real world into the otherworld.
In Welsh myth, Bran the Blessed makes a bridge of himself over the Irish Sea, so that his men can cross. Like Bran we are all capable of making bridges of ourselves to enable others to cross over to truth or enlightenment. “He who would be king, let him first be a bridge.” (From Bran’s Tale in the Mobinogion)
Celtic Inspirations contains step-by-step meditations and visualizations on symbols such as the Tree of Life and the Sword in the Stone and shows how we can apply Celtic wisdom to our lives today. Celtic Inspirations is a handy folklore resource book.
