Fourth Annual Benefit "To Feed the Hungry"

PICTURED AT LAST YEAR'S Feed the Hungry benefit at the Wolf and Hound are (L-R) Jacquie Metzler (owner of The Wolf and Hound), Maurice McElrea (president of the Union Gospel Mission), Anne Lewis of Route 66, and Michael Viens of the Celtic group Blackthorn (organizer of the Feed the Hungry benefit).

VANCOUVER - Mark your calendars now for the Celtic FUNdraiser event of the season. A night of merriment and cheer to share with family and friends in support of the Union Gospel Mission, an organization that brings hope and help to many of our city's less fortunate.

The fourth annual Danny Burns Memorial “Feed the Hungry Benefit” is happening on December 11 at the Wolf and Hound in Vancouver and, in Danny’s honour, there is a great night of music, mirth and merriment planned.

Route 66 – the little big band with Danny’s sister, Anne, on vocals – will get things swinging at 5 PM. Following that will be the Celtic musician’s office party – a lineup of fine local Celtic entertainment all in one venue and you’re invited!

Acts appearing this year will include: The Rogues & Tinkers (previously known as The Ballad Band), the BC Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums, Blackthorn, Mutiny Gone Overboard, Stone & Sea, The Streels, Ballyhooley, Brian Flanagan and so much more! There are always surprises and lots of door prizes.

Get there early to get a good seat and help make this another successful year in memory of a good friend! Admission is $10 with all proceeds going to the Union Gospel Mission. Tax receipts can be issued upon request for any donations over $15. They will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items.

For more information, call Michael Viens at (604) 879-7958. For reservations, call the Wolf and Hound at (604) 738-8909 (recommended for large groups).
