Another Great Year for Canmore Highland Games
CANMORE, Alberta - The 15th annual Canmore Highland Games presented by the Three Sisters Scottish Festival Society was held on September 4. Over 7,600 guests from across Canada and the United States passed through the gates for a record breaking attendance.

DANCERS at the United Scottish BC Highland Games held in Coquitlam, B.C. in June 2005. The following were winners in the 18 and over City of Vancouver Championship: Kim Drabyk, Scott MacCrae, Melanie Turnbull, Marella Borthwick, Jenni-Leigh Harder, Katie Trydal, and Cameron Collins.

Organizers recognized 2005 as the Year of the Veteran by honouring the Lowland Band of the Scottish Division and inviting vets to march in the opening ceremonies. Over 300 Highland dancers and 26 pipe bands participated in the competitions and from the opening ceremonies to the closing Evening Ceilidh, the day was a huge success.
