DANCERS at the United Scottish BC Highland Games held in Coquitlam, B.C. in June 2005. The following were winners in the 18 and over City of Vancouver Championship: Kim Drabyk, Scott MacCrae, Melanie Turnbull, Marella Borthwick, Jenni-Leigh Harder, Katie Trydal, and Cameron Collins.

Hard Work Pays Off for B.C. Highland Dancers
VANCOUVER - B.C. Highland Dancing Association dancers did very well representing their province at the World Highland Dancing Championships held in Dunoon, Scotland in August.

B.C. HIGHLAND DANCING Association dancers at the World Highland Dancing Championships held in Dunoon, Scotland, included: Fiona Lee, Katie Trydal, Vincent Collins, and Cameron Collins.

Fiona Lee came second in the world in the 15 and under section; Katie Trydal came in eighth in the world in the 18 and over; Cameron Collins came sixth in the world in the 18 and over; and Vincent Collins qualified to dance in the 16 and 17 year section.
Congratulations to these four dancers - who by the way are all wearing the Royal Dress MacCrae tartan.
Participating in the Antigonish Highland Games in Nova Scotia this summer were B.C. Highland Dancing Association members: Cameron Collins, Kaitlin Sullivan, Katie Trydal, Emma Johnston, and Vincent Collins.
