Vancouver Irish Sporting and Social Club Updates

The Vancouver Irish Sporting and Social Club wants to remind everyone that there are tickets available for the ISSC fundraiser 1/2 Way to St. Paddy's Day on September 16, 2004. It's a good deal at $10 per ticket which includes admission to Doolins' Cellar and a free drink before 10 PM.
Enjoy live music from 9 PM until 1 AM and also a DJ (traditional Irish music) from 7 PM until 9 PM. Bring your work and school mates and have a great time while supporting the ISSC and the Gaelic games. The 30TH Anniversary Celebrations for the Vancouver Irish Sporting and Social Club are gearing up with an eight-page pull out supplement in the October issue of The Celtic Connection is in the planning stages. On November 13, as part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration, there will be a mass to remember all deceased ISSC members and all of our loved ones from the Irish Community at St. Patrick's Church at the 4:30 PM mass.
This will be followed by a 30th Anniversary Celebration dinner dance to be held at the Cambrian Hall located at 17th and Main Street in Vancouver. Doors will open at 5:30 PM in advance of the roast beef buffet dinner scheduled for 6:30 PM. Speeches and tributes will proceed music by Rogues n' Tinkers. Tickets are $30 per person and it is expected that there will be a demand as dinner seating is limited.
