Excellent GAA Coaches Clinics

VANCOUVER - A total of 187 people, including 32 women, attended three North American County Board Coaching Clinics held in Boston March 20-21, and in Chicago and San Francisco April 3-4. The instructors in San Francisco were John Tobin (Galway), Tomás Quealy (Clare) and Damien Coleman (Galway) who were marvelous in their presentation and style. The United Irish Cultural Center and Balboa Park in San Francisco were the facilities used by the clinicians.

From the Pacific Northwest Seattle's Ed Harkin, Tom Lagan, Liam Boyle, Meg Starbird and Rebecca Fox attended the football clinics while Rob Mullin, Todd Brothers and Wade Chitwood attended the hurling clinics. Vancouver's John O'Flynn attended the football with Portland, Oregon's Tim Birr and Virgil Hall in attendance too. Secretary of the NACB and Seattle Gaels “Extraordinaire” member John Keane oversaw a memorable weekend for all.
