Some of Ireland's Finest Talent Feature in New Will Millar Show

Will Millar - the former Irish Rover - has been traveling Australia and New Zealand with his new show Ireland - the place where the song and dance all began. Now, he is about to launch the premiere of his North American tour right here in British Columbia. The show features some of the finest Irish dancers, musicians, singers and entertainers, and is hosted by Will Millar.

WILL MILLAR with Limerick-born singer harpist Sheila Ryan.

Philip Brady and his Irish dance school are well-known already as Philip has been a lead dancer for Lord of the Dance for two years and several of his dancers have won world championship medals for Irish dance.

Kathleen Keane on fiddle, accordion and flutes, hails from Chicago – one of the world’s great centers of Irish music and dance. As a youngster, Kathleen took dance lessons from Michael Flatley himself.

Martin Nolan from Dublin is on uilleann pipes and long whistle, and he will be featured for the first time on this tour. He is an internationally acclaimed piper and a teacher of the uilleann pipes who has a number of recordings available.

Sheila Ryan, a singer and harpist from Limerick and currently living in Victoria, along with Ian Millar, another former Irish Rover, provide vocals in the show.

Davey Walker from Ireland is on keyboards. Davey has a world-wide reputation as a music arranger and has worked everywhere that Irish music is played.

All of the musicians and dancers in the show are recording artists with their own careers and they have pooled their talents to provide an Irish smorgasbord of entertainment that will delight people of every age.

Merit Travel has generously donated an all inclusive two weeks round-trip to Ireland from Victoria with Air Canada in May 2005. There will be a draw at each show and the winner’s names will go into the hat for a final draw to take place on Global TV in Vancouver November 25.

In the meantime, Merit Travel is offering a discount to anyone who calls their Victoria location and says “Will Millar sent me” and books the tour with Will Millar within three weeks of a concert date in their area, will get a discount and also have their name go in the free draw. The Merit Travel toll-free telephone number is 1-800-409-1711 (all branches offer the tour).
