World-Renowned Artists Participating at Ceílí Irish Music and Dance Camp at Harrison Hot Springs
VANCOUVER - Are you a musician looking for an exciting and unusual vacation for yourself, your children or your whole family? An Irish dancer wanting to develop that competitive edge? Or maybe you just love all things Irish and want to immerse yourself in Irish culture Canadian style! For kids and adults, Ceili 2004 has something for everyone.
Ceili 2004 will be held on August 15-20 at the Executive Hotel in the beautiful resort area of Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, bringing world champions and star dancers and musicians to the Vancouver and Fraser Valley region.
Whether it is dance, fiddle, guitar, piano accompaniment, pennywhistle or bodhrán that piques your interest, this will be a fun-filled week with some of the top names in Irish dance and music. For beginner students, this is a chance to be inspired by world-renowned artists; for advanced students, an opportunity to hone your skills.
Ceili 2004 will feature Irish dance workshops taught by Conor Hayes, ADCRG, world champion from Australia and lead of Riverdance; and Stephen McAteer, TCRG, two-time world champion from Toronto and former cast member of Riverdance.
New on this fiddle roster this year are Brian Conway, award winning New York fiddler renowned for his Sligo style; and Liz Carroll, former All-Ireland fiddle champion from Chicago. And a hearty welcome back to fiddle instructor, Michelle Bergin, TCRG, who tours with Lord of the Dance.
Ceili 2004 winds up August 20 with student dancers and musicians performing with this amazing group of world calibre instructors from the international stage of Irish dance and music.
