Hollywood Profile: James Bond Exhibit Brings 007 to Vancouver

VANCOUVER - What do you get when you cross the wonderment of ingenuity with the most successful film series in history. A new exhibit opening at Science World called Bond. James Bond. The Exhibition. Believe it or not the braintrusts of Science World outscooped the rest of Canada to become the first Canadian city to host an unbelievable tribute to the world of special effects, imagination and creativity 007 style.
THE EXHIBIT will feature gadgets and high-tech imagery from the James Bond films at Science World until September 12.

Rumour has it that one out of four people have seen a James Bond movie. Lucky residents and visitors to Vancouver get a chance to experience first hand what went into making these trendsetting movies, films that smashed box office records wherever they played, making them the most successful films ever made.
Visitors to this exhibit, which runs to September 12, for only half the price of a movie ticket, get to relive moments from this classic series. Budget a good two hours to go through this interactive display which boasts impeccable tributes to this unique film genre.
Gadgets bound to rekindle old memories include Colonel Rosa Klebb's infamous poison tipped dagger shoes that nearly took James Bond (played by Sean Connery) out in his Venice hotel room in From Russia With Love, to a series of cars made popular by the rejuvenated Pierce Brosnan entries from Goldeneye and Die Another Day.
Classic bad guy wrestler turned golf caddy Oddjob shows off his steel tipped deadly derby bowler while the classic rebreather from Thunderball comes up for air only to create sighs among gazing onlookers.
Sure-footed fun awaits folks who journey down numerous tunnels to walk through this maze of high-tech imagery complete with computer terminals waiting to quiz you. Gorgeous costumes from dozens of screen legends impress as does the music that livens up the proceedings. Classic photos and props from memorable scenes abound in this family friendly display.
