Spring Ceili 2004: An Exciting Multi-Media Production
VANCOUVER - On March 20 two major local youth Celtic groups - the North Shore Celtic Ensemble and the Nora Pickett Irish Dance Academy Eire Born - will ignite the stage at the Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver with an exciting multi-media production consisting of new material and old favourites.
Spring Ceili 2004 promises to be another raging sell-out after the success of the first year's Spring Ceili on the North Shore in March 2003.
The North Shore Celtic Ensemble have just launched their second CD Kings' Set and these new tunes will serve as building blocks for the Spring Ceili 2004 show. The Eire Born dance troupe has evolved over the years and is now one of the major Irish dancing bodies in the country.
In addition to excellent musicianship, dance and repertoire, what makes both groups so special, is that almost all the artists are under 18. Their youthful energy is so evident, so honest and contagious. It will be truly invigorating to watch both ensembles perform together!
