Danny Burns Memorial Feed the Hungry Benefit:
An Evening of Music, Mirth and Merriment
VANCOUVER - Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, please put a penny in the old man's hat. Or better yet, get your family and friends together and head down to the Wolf and Hound to the Celtic fundraising event of the season! The third annual Danny Burns Memorial Feed the Hungry Benefit is happening on December 12 at the Wolf and Hound in Vancouver and it's already shaping up to be a great evening of music, mirth and merriment.
The place will start swinging at 5 PM with Route 66 a little big band complete with horn section and guest vocalist, Karen Kelm. Following that will be a wonderful array of Celtic music featuring such fine local groups as: The Rogues n’ Tinkers (previously known as The Ballad Band), the BC Regiment Irish Pipes and Drums, Blackthorn, Mutiny Gone Overboard, Stone & Sea, The Streels, Three Row Barley and so much more!
If you've not been to this event in the past, don't be left out in the cold, for there's a great time to be had by all just as sure as Mr. Scrooge and the Grinch will find redemption again this Christmas.
Admission is $10 with all proceeds going to the Union Gospel Mission who will issue tax receipts upon request for any donations over $15. They will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items. Mark your calendar now and get there early for what will surely be a terrific evening of entertainment in honour of a good friend.
