The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir Appoints New Music Director
VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir (VWMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Quick as Music Director. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in voice, composition and conducting, and a Bachelor of Education degree in music from the University of British Columbia.
Tenor soloist and Assistant Music Director with the VWMC at the time of this appointment, Quick remains an active member of Musica Intima, the internationally-acclaimed vocal ensemble based in Vancouver.
In addition to his work with the Welsh Men's Choir, Quick has sung with Vancouver Chamber Choir, Festival Vancouver opera, Vancouver New and Early Music and the Pacific Baroque Orchestra.
Jonathan Quick leads the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir into its 25th season on a Cariboo Concert Tour with performances on October 16 in 100 Mile House and October 17 in Williams Lake. His first Vancouver appearance as Music Director will be at a benefit concert for the Vancouver Maritime Museum on October 22 in St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church.
