Scottish Country Dancing - Children’s and Youth Classes
VANCOUVER - Starting September 13, a beginner class in Scottish Country Dancing will be offered at the Kerrisdale Community Centre located at 5851 West Boulevard. These classes are suitable for both boys and girls from five to nine years old on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM and from 10 to 16 years old on Mondays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Students don’t need to be Scottish or have previous dancing experience to learn basic movements, steps and dances in a fun, social atmosphere. They will develop co-ordination and rhythm to lively Celtic music for reels, jigs and strathspeys.

Classes for children over 16 years of age and adults are held at the Scottish Cultural Centre, located at 8886 Hudson Street in Vancouver, starting in September. No partners are needed and it is a great social and educational activity. For more information, call Brian Corbould at (604) 944-1290.
